Sundarban Bio-diversity & Conservation
Nowabenki Gonomukhi Foundation (NGF) has engaged in the community based project implementation at Sundarban Impact Zone (SIZ) areas for the last twenty eight years long. Accordingly, the organization has gained a adequate knowledge, skills and significant achievement on sustainable management of Sundarbans Biodiversity & Conservation. The organization has been practicing participatory community development approach in the following some fundamental belief like honesty, trustworthy, accountability, commitment, discipline, integrity and transparency in every stage of project implementation.
Accordingly, NGF has designed a series of intervention/activities with the participation of all this stakeholders who are uses resources from Sundarbans directly or indirectly in Khulna and Satkhira Range areas. The initiative is to promote alternate income practices, small holders livelihoods programming, promote household based IGAs, small scale enterprises, capacity building training, linkage building, institutional capacity development, for different tire of Co-Management Committees, CBOs, and mobilizing Users groups for proper uses of mangrove resources as well awareness raising through multi-stakeholders consultation meeting.
